Oeko-Tex is a drive within the textile industry for ecologically sound products and processes.
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 regulates textile development to guarantee that certified products contain no health endangering substances. The standard includes specification of limits and test criteria for a total of 100 individual substances or building blocks for questionable substances.
The closer the skin contact, the stricter is the limit. There are a total of four classes. Class 1 relates to clothing for babies and young children to age 2, class 2 relates to articles that, with a large part of their surface, come into contact with skin, class 3 relates to garments that touch the skin only very little and class 4 to home textiles. For our clothes, which are labelled with the Öko-Tex Standard 100, we ensure that the limits of Classes 1 and/or 2 are maintained.
